One of my all time favourites (I know I know I have a lot of them!) But this one I honestly can not get enough of!
SERVES 4
INGREDIENTS
- 4 beef steaks
- 1cup balsamic vinegar
- 1tbs honey
- 1tbs ghee
- 1 shallot, sliced finely
- 3 garlic cloves, grated
- 1sml bag of “semi dried” Oregano
- 1 generous handful of fresh parsley
METHOD
- Remove the steak from the fridge and from their packaging, let them rest on a plate and come to room temperature. Coat lightly in olive oil and pepper and salt
- For the reduction fry off the shallots, garlic and ghee first in a small saucepan
- Add the balsamic, honey and then the herbs
- season with pepper and salt
- cook the steak in the pan for 6mins one side and then 4mins the other side for medium rare
- Once the steak is done, slice it horizontally and place on a platter to serve
- Drizzle over the reduction…careful this will make your taste buds tingle
