My new favourite Vegan recipe/recipe in general I think. Amazing ingredients and it just leaves your mouth salivating for more!!
INGREIENTS
- 450g Firm Tofu (Feel free to double this recipe as it is that good!) – Woolworths tofu is great for this recipe
- 4tbs Tamari sauce
- Fresh chilli, optional
- 1tsp garlic
- 4tbs Sweet Chilli sauce – Nuilife
- 2tsp coconut sugar
- 2tbs honey, drizzled whilst cooking
- 3 spring onions, finely sliced
- 1/2cup gluten free flour
- 1-2tbs olive oil
- sesame seeds – both black and white
METHOD
- Cut the tofu into bite sized cubes
- In a bowl add the flour and pepper and salt
- Coat the tofu in the flour generously
- Make the sauce. In a screw top jar add the tamari, sweet chilli, sugar, garlic and chilli
- Shake vigorously
- Heat 1tbs olive oil in a deep saucepan or wok
- I cooked the tofu in halves, once the tofu is in and has browned a little on both sides add half of the sauce and then just before you remove the tofu from the pan add the honey, swish the tofu around so it all gets coated and rest on a plate and then do the other half
- Plate up and add the sliced spring onions and sesame seeds
- The flavour will blow your mind. Best eaten fresh!
