“On gym days you just look happier…”
I joined the gym because I had a dream. I wanted to run a marathon.
I started running 3 years ago and even though I considered myself reasonably fit somehow I plateaued with my performance. I just couldn’t get faster or stronger and somehow I felt lost.
I remember my first PT session. My trainer gave me dumbbells and we started to work on my arms and back muscles. I was surprised and a bit sceptical. Wasn’t really sure how would that help me to run better. But I decided to trust my trainer. So from the first session on I listened, I observed, I followed and just did my job. After a couple of sessions I already could feel the difference. My running became more fluent. My body felt stronger and somehow more in place. And then I started to be faster. First time ever I could feel the hidden potential in me coming out more and more.
RFT gave me more than just stronger muscles and faster legs. It helped me to understand my own body, to see that I am capable of great things. I am the fittest I have ever been. It also gave me a great feel of belonging. I belong to a place where I am pushed, where I am understood and most importantly encouraged at every little step I make. I don’t feel lost anymore.
